Exhibitions, conferences, and seminars

DATA+ takes part in the majority of events devoted to the geoinformation theme. Primarily these are GIS-Forum and the thematic seminars organized by GIS Association. At these events specialists of DATA+ make reports and consult with anyone who is interested in GIS. Since these events are always accompanied by software and hardware shows, DATA+ demonstrates the software of its vendors and consults with both existing and prospective users.

DATA+ also participates in thematic conferences, seminars, and workshops held by local administrations, ministries, and departments as well as by the Russian Academy of Sciences and large companies. As a rule, at such forums the staff of DATA+ present reports and demonstrate geoinformation technologies from ESRI as they are used in the military field, oil and gas industry, managing of natural resources, in ecology, transportation, in land use and for property registration as well as in other spheres of application where these technologies can be effectively used.

DATA+ regularly participates in the annual world user conference of ESRI, which of late is held in San Diego (State of California, U.S.A.). This Conference is the largest annual event in the world of geoinformatics. Over 10 000 people from all over the world participate in it each year. We send our employees there to stimulate their knowledge and we help our users from the interested Russian companies and organizations to send their staff to participate there as well.

We also take an active part in regional (European) conferences of the users and distributors of ESRI. As a result, the experts of our Company have the most recent and full information on the software products that we sell and their development status.

Beginning with 1993, DATA+ holds annual conferences of the users of ESRI software in Russia and CIS, and each of the conferences is a success. Those who come to the conferences learn the latest news from our vendors, share their own experience in the use of our sw, and receive consultations from the experts of DATA+. The Presidents of ESRI, their regional managers and developers of software take part in these conferences. This is a unique chance for both negotiations at all levels and contacts with colleagues in an informal way. While at the first user conference in 1993 there were about 100 participants, in 2001 over 350 people from 11 countries came to take part in our 7th user conference.

From time to time DATA+ holds one-day seminars on the use of geoinformation technologies and the products that we sell in different spheres of human activity.

Beginning with 2000 we united our efforts with our partners and hold regional conferences and seminars for the users of software from ESRI on a permanent basis:in Novosibirsk (together with "DATA EAST" Co.), in Saint-Petersburg (together with CREDO), and in Anapa (together with "BKT").
